Baseball Certified Instructor
Coach Dan Cahill
“I have studied and researched hitting for a long time and have found the Hubie Magic System to be the most influential. His certification process helped me quickly understand how the body works under control while using explosive moves to get the bat head to the ball efficiently. The books, the manuals, the video instruction, and Hubie’s personal tutelage helped me understand the swing and all the simple drills.
The big thing was the results that I saw when I taught this to my travel team and the lessons I have done already. I am now confident that I can help hitters move quickly to the next level through participating in the coaches certification program.”
The atmosphere surrounding youth baseball has to change! It may look and feel like the professional game we all watch on TV but it is very different. The money professional franchises make all depends on winning, marketing, celebrity players, and sales.
Youth baseball is about life lessons, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and developing productive members of society. Parents rooting at a youth game should cheer for the other team as well, build up the kids, be supportive of the coaches and umpires. The focus should not be on winning or losing, it should be on families and community. Today Little League has become a battle ground for parents with the kids being innocent bystanders.
Our mission at Clubhouse Baseball is to change the atmosphere and give youth baseball back to the kids.
Along with local partners, I also have support around the country from players, coaches, trainers, and doctors who help us put a suitable program together based on your goals.
Clubhouse Baseball also has the support of local youth pastors and churches to provide a safe environment to learn about Jesus.
My hope is that kids will learn the Truth and His word will guide them through a very confusing time in our society. By making youth group, family bible study, and community service a priority, we can build something focused on adding value rather than winning. – Dan Cahill
Update – 09/11/2013
“Thanks to Hubie Magic and the correct teachings of Ted Williams, the kids in our club continue to show better balance, more power, and improved on base percentage.”…Danny Cahill – Clubhouse Baseball.
I had a conversation with a 40yr baseball veteran who runs a facility specializing in hitting, they use those tees which are higher in back and lower in front, this promotes the “down and through” approach. He explained to me that this is the proper way to hit. Well his 14yr old team played my 13yr old team this past weekend and hit 1 ball in the air the whole game. They hit the ball hard, but every single one was on the ground! I cannot understand this philosophy and I will do everything I can to discourage this hitting style. My guess is 75% of instructors teach this, or “get the barrel to the ball” in a chopping motion. A hitter’s hands should follow his hips around, staying close to his body, pulling the knob through towards the pitcher, then pulling it out which brings the barrel to the hitting zone and keeps it there the longest! That’s the ONLY way to have consistent success (at least mechanically).
PS…My 15yr old team used wood bats this past weekend and that was supposed to dramatically reduce the amount of hits and runs scored…we score 35 runs in three games.
