I grew up in Morton Grove, Il, attended Notre Dame High School in Niles,Il, played baseball at Illinois State University and became a PE teacher. I am probably known as one of the goofiest personalities in my neighborhood and over a 20 year time span of my adulthood you would probably find me at a local pub with a softball uniform on. So how in the heck did I land my butt in Ted Williams house for over a week back in the early 2000’s?
For those that know me you would be surprised at this story and to those that don’t you might find this interesting. The reason I was invited in Ted Williams home was because the family found out that I invented a program patterned after the swing of Ted Williams that was getting hitters to raise their batting averages and slugging percentage by over 50 points in one seasons training. Not just a couple hitters, but 90 percent of the hitters trained were experiencing this! This is the short story of what actually happened and I wrote a book about more of the details of my stay with Ted Williams and the mystery of his swing. The one question people ask is why would a local beer drinking PE teacher who spends half his time telling jokes be invited to Mr. Williams home?
My answer to that is that I did it incognito. Meaning I went under cover. While people thought I was just living a normal life and telling funny stories, I really was researching the secrets to the perfect baseball swing. You might be saying, ” Ya but there are thousands of people who do this on a daily basis.” I agree, but not like I did it.
I took a different approach that involved changes within my own line of being because I knew that the secrets to hitting were very deep and very misunderstood in baseball world wide. So before I even ventured into figuring out the baseball swing, I studied successful people and how they thought. Over the course of over 5000 books I read that was not even enough, but I did start to realize that I was becoming more able to see truth in things that I was incapable of seeing before. After a while some very unusual answers to hitting started to come my way piece by piece. So what’s the big deal, answers to a problem can come to anybody piece by piece correct?
Correct, but I found you needed to be aware enough to catch all the pieces and then even more keenly aware as to how to put all the pieces together even though some of the pieces are some of the weirdest pieces you saw in you entire life!
To most of you, you may say that this makes sense so far, but it runs far deeper than this. Finding the components to teaching hitters how to hit at least 50 points better than they normally can does not come overnight and I did not get lucky. When you get about half the pieces and you know your getting close to something good you just don’t give up. I had to put it all together and make it as simple as possible for anyone to understand because the way I was finding out about some of these techniques was very complicated.
As I played out normal living, I knew I had to go deeper and deeper to find out what I was trying to find even though I was not quite sure was there. One of the keys was for me to disattach from anything I learned about hitting, because some of the pieces of the puzzle that were coming in were so simple but yet so far out of the box that the wires I my brain were sizzling. So what did I do that really no one could detect that I was living an undercover life?
Privately I changed my diet, did full body cleanses, went to yoga classes, meditated and cleared my brain of anything negative, and did anything to keep my vibration high so I could find and receive the right type of information I needed to to pull this off. Publicly, nobody would have guessed what I was doing and only discussed it with a select few.
Basically this is the art of spirituality and finding truth in all things you want to find them in. Just like anything in sports, the more you practice the more you get good at something. So basically I started to master the art finding truth and becoming an innovative inventor. At some point I knew I got the level of thinking of Ted Williams (he was a super genius folks) and I got to a point were I was beyond normal instructors of hitting because my methods were not even close to conventional means or what you might read on the internet.
Basically I gut my self out so I could attract the right information that I had a feeling might change baseball in the future. So whenever you find out information about anything, you may want to wonder what they went through to find the information. For most people, they copy information that they learned as they grew up with a couple added tweaks here and there. The reason Ted Williams acknowledged a PE teacher from the northeast east burbs of Chicago was because he realized how deep I went to get the information (Ted was deep and yes I wrote him a letter explaining just how deep I went with all the results and testimonials included).
